Leachate Wastewater Treatment

The two treatment plants built by Arbiogaz for Komurcuoda and Odayeri Solid Waste Landfill Sites of Istanbul Municipality pioneered construction of leachate treatment plants in Turkey.

Leachate wastewater originated from the municipal solid waste landfill sites is a highly polluted wastewater, which contains large amounts of organic and inorganic pollutants such as nitrogen compounds. In order to prevent the pollution of ground and surface water resources, this wastewater has to be treated to the acceptable discharge limits.
